Production Technician

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Technician with electro-mechanical assembly and test skills to join our Operations team. Experience in PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) inspection, testing, rework/repair are highly desired.

Responsibilities

Responsible for subassembly and final assembly of products. Performs visual inspection, functional testing & programming, burn-in testing, and thermal testing of all assembled products. Documents and records all inspection and test results. Performs test, debug and rework/repair of PCBAs for Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through Hole Technology (THT) in support of Production, Engineering prototypes and Customer owned products.

Minimum Qualifications

· High School diploma or GED

· Experience in related electronics manufacturing: 3+ years

· Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in field of electronics

· Knowledge and practical experience using IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 for PCBAs

· PCBA component soldering ability, skill and practical experience (SMT/THT)

· Basic computer application skills (MS Office)

· Ability to read and interpret work instructions, test procedures, schematics and mechanical/assembly drawings

· PCBA Bench Testing experience (setup, debug, test)

· Experience using torque tools and variety of test instruments including multimeters, gauges, and oscilloscope

· Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

· Associate’s degree in Electronics (ASEET) or relevant field

· IPC-A-610 Certified or Trained

· Experience using Environmental Test Equipment for PCBAs or electronic assemblies
