PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Production Technician to join Dovechem Packaging Pte Ltd in the West Coast West Region. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our manufacturing operations, ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality packaging solutions. As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, monitoring manufacturing processes, and contributing to our commitment to excellence in assembly and process work. This role is essential to our operational success and directly impacts the quality of products we deliver to our customers.

Key responsibilities

Daily Production & Quality Support

Line Operations: Support and operate production machinery across various sections, following the product from raw materials to finished goods.

Quality Checks: Help monitor the production line to ensure all products are up to standard and report any quality issues.

Team Support: Work closely with the rest of the production team to meet daily output targets safely.

Basic Troubleshooting

First-Level Checks: Be the first person to check on a machine if it stops or faces a minor issue during your shift.

Quick Adjustments: Perform simple, basic adjustments or minor fixes to keep the line moving before the main maintenance team is called in.

Daily Admin Updating Task

Record Keeping: Spend a small portion of your day updating daily production logs and reports.

Basic Data Entry: Use basic Microsoft Excel to key in daily metrics, output numbers, and machine downtime.

Others

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and participating in process optimisation activities

Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status and any concerns

Requirements

• Minimum Nitec / Higher Nitec / GCE 'O' Level, preferably in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing field.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a production or factory environment (candidates with a strong willingness to learn are also welcome to apply).
• Comfortable being on the factory floor for the majority of the day.
• Basic mechanical hands-on skills for simple troubleshooting and machine adjustments.
• Computer literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data entry.
• A positive attitude, responsible, and a good team player.
• Adhering to all health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies
