PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform machine conversion (model changeover) according to the production schedule.

• Fine-tune machines to achieve stable production.

• Conduct daily machine inspection and complete machine check sheets accurately.

• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform machine tuning to minimize downtime.

• Adjust machining parameters and tooling to maintain product quality and cycle time.

• Support production operators in resolving machine-related problems.

• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments to resolve technical issues.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and maintain machine cleanliness.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and 5S requirements.

• Assist in continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, quality, and machine efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or a related field.

• Experience with Swiss-type CNC Auto Lathe machines (Star, Citizen, Tsugami, or equivalent) is preferred.

• Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T.

• Familiar with precision measuring instruments (micrometer, caliper, dial indicator, height gauge, etc.).

• Basic understanding of CNC programming, G-code, and M-code is an advantage.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and support production under minimum supervision.

• Willing to work shifts and overtime when required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in machine conversion and setup optimization.

• Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, and tool life management.

• Familiar with FANUC and Mitsubishi CNC controllers.
