Production Technician (FCC)

CSL Seqirus is expanding its state-of-the-art Flu Cell Culture (FCC) facility in Tullamarine, and we’re looking for motivated Production Technician to join our growing manufacturing team. This ongoing role is for a Production Support operator role working across multiple areas.

This role is a 12 hr shift, rotating between day and night shift working to a Pitman work Pattern which include weekends and public holidays.

Your role will involve regular manual handling, prolonged periods of standing, and repetitive physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and performing routine motions throughout the shift.

A yearly influenza vaccination is a mandatory requirement.

Your Role

Reporting to the FCC Team Leader, you may be required to :

• Assemble, set-up, and disassemble of production equipment: This includes intermediate bottles, filters, addition cans, sample assemblies and other equipment.
• Operate manufacturing equipment such as:
  • Parts Washer, autoclaves and filter testing units.
  • Lifting equipment, load cells, small bench top equipment.
  • Tanks and pressure vessels,
• Clean, prepare, and sterilize production equipment using automated cycles.
• Operate benchtop equipment such as: pH meters, peristaltic pumps, scales, mixers, etc.
• Understand process automation systems and advanced user of electronic business systems (e.g, PCS, MES, LIMS, SAP) and effectively perform operational tasks utilizing these systems.
• Routine cleaning of plant and production work areas.
• Recognize issues and effectively solving minor atypical process issues
• Perform tasks associated with pharmaceutical production such as inventory control, problem solving and documentation update/review.

Your Skills and Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science or related field is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated manufacturing experience in food, pharmaceutical, automotive or aircraft industry will be highly valued.
• Previous experience with automation systems will be highly regarded.
• Knowledge of cGMP and manufacturing operations in FDA/TGA regulated facility.
• Demonstrated high level of initiative, autonomy, and learning agility.
• Strong problem solving, creative thinking, and effective decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work within a team environment and contribute to the objectives of the team and the business.
