Production Technician (Pasir Gudang)

Job Responsibilities

• Follow all plant safety requirements and actively participate in safety improvement initiatives.
• Comply with company policies, SOPs, SHE requirements, QMS procedures, and regulatory standards to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Operate and maintain plant processes and utilities in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform chemical preparation, transfer, dosing, storage, and handling activities based on production requirements.
• Carry out reactor preparation, stripping operations, latex finishing, filtration, blending, rework, and product transfer activities.
• Monitor process parameters, perform routine sampling, and support quality control activities to ensure products meet specifications.
• Conduct routine plant inspections and troubleshoot operational issues to maintain safe and reliable operations.
• Complete production records, logbooks, equipment checklists, and other operational documentation accurately.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with technicians, supervisors, maintenance teams, and contractors.
• Ensure proper shift handovers and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through good housekeeping and 5S practices.
• Support plant start-up, shutdown, maintenance, loading/unloading, and packaging activities as required.
• Participate in training programs and maintain required competencies.
• Serve as a member of emergency response teams (e.g., fire fighting, rescue, first aid, forklift operations) when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the superior.

Job Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Chemical, Process, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a chemical manufacturing or processing environment is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays when required.
• Willing to work on a rotating shift schedule.
• Willing to be based in Pasir Gudang, Johor.

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,700.00 per month
