About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Production Test Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and improve software used in the testing of electronic products. You will work closely with hardware, production, and quality teams to ensure test systems run reliably, identify product issues, and improve testing efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software for automated production testing of electronic products.
• Design and improve test programs, scripts, and software tools to support production testing.
• Troubleshoot software and test system issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
• Analyse test results and work with engineering teams to improve test coverage, reliability, and production yield.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), including test software development, debugging, and validation.
• Maintain test software documentation, procedures, and version control.
• Provide technical support to production teams and resolve test-related issues to minimise downtime.
• Continuously improve test software and automation processes to enhance productivity and quality.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience in software development, automated testing, or production test systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as C/C++, Python, C#, or LabVIEW.
• Familiarity with electronic testing, test automation, or communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I²C, or Ethernet is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment will be an advantage
