Production Trainer (Translator)

Job Objectives

To provide accurate and effective translation and interpretation services between Mandarin, Malay/Indonesian, and/or English to facilitate communication between management, engineers, production employees, and other stakeholders in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. To ensure that work instructions, technical information, training materials, and operational communications are clearly understood to support productivity, quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

Job Description

• Translate verbal and written communications between Mandarin, Malay/Indonesian, and/or English.
• Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, briefings, training sessions, audits, and discussions.
• Translate work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical documents, reports, notices, and other manufacturing-related materials.
• Facilitate communication between Mandarin-speaking personnel and local employees in production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and other departments.
• Assist in explaining manufacturing processes, equipment operating instructions, quality requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
• Support communication during production issues, troubleshooting activities, quality investigations, and corrective action discussions.
• Assist with translating training materials and delivering on-the-job training to employees.
• Maintain the accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality of translated documents.
• Assist with preparing bilingual or multilingual documents and communication materials.
• Perform other translation-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of Diploma or equivalent qualification. Candidates with relevant language or translation qualifications will have an advantage.
• Proficient in Mandarin and Malay/Indonesian, and/or English, with strong spoken and written communication skills in the required languages.
• Able to translate technical information accurately and communicate effectively with employees from different cultural and language backgrounds.
• Experience in manufacturing, preferably in the semiconductor, electronics, or other high-technology industries, will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with manufacturing terminology, production processes, equipment, quality control, and workplace safety requirements is preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, supervisors, production operators, and management.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and support translation requirements on the production floor when necessary.
• Meticulous, responsible, adaptable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Willing to work shifts or overtime when required by operational needs, subject to company arrangements.
• Able to use Microsoft Office applications for document preparation and translation-related tasks.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
