Production Associate / Visual Inspector – Entry Level

Location: Claremont, CA
Pay: $19.50-20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM

Job Overview

Guidex Group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented associate for a precision glass manufacturing company in Claremont, CA.

This position is responsible for visually inspecting small precision glass parts using a binocular microscope and identifying defects based on established quality standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented and interested in developing experience in quality inspection or manufacturing.

Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Inspect precision glass parts using a binocular microscope
• Identify visual defects and nonconforming parts
• Follow established inspection and quality requirements
• Separate acceptable and nonconforming products
• Maintain proper product identification and traceability
• Accurately enter inspection results into spreadsheets
• Handle small parts carefully and accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection workstation
• Report equipment or maintenance concerns
• Perform repetitive inspection work while maintaining accuracy and quality

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read and write English
• Basic computer skills, including entering information into spreadsheets
• Ability to follow written instructions and established quality procedures
• Comfortable working with small parts and using a microscope for extended periods
• Comfortable performing repetitive, detail-oriented work
• Dependable attendance and ability to consistently report for a 5:00 AM start time

Experience: Prior visual inspection, quality, manufacturing, assembly, production, or similar experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with transferable detail-oriented experience are welcome to apply.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods during an 8-hour shift
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle and inspect small parts
• Ability to use a binocular microscope for extended periods
• Ability to maintain visual focus on small details
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
• Ability to reach, bend, and move within the work area as needed
• Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
