Production/Injection Engineer

Position:Production/Injection Engineer

An Injection Engineer (or Injection Molding Engineer) optimizes plastic molding processes, troubleshoots production issues, and designs tooling to ensure high-quality, efficient manufacturing. They set up machinery, define process parameters (using scientific molding), and analyze defects to improve output.

Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization: Establish, document, and improve injection molding parameters (temperature, pressure, speed) for production efficiency.
Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve quality issues, machine malfunctions, and material defects to reduce scrap.
Tooling Development: Collaborate on mold design, tool validation, and maintenance.
New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead testing, trial runs, and mold setup for new components.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain Working Instructions (WI) and Control Plans (CP) to meet industry standards like IATF16949:2016. 

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering.
Experience: 3–7 years of experience in plastic injection manufacturing.
Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of injection machines (e.g., Sumitomo, Fanuc), robotic arms, materials (plastics), and scientific molding principles. 

Common Job Requirements
Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis (RCA).
Ability to work in a, "hands-on," manufacturing environment.
Experience with CAD software for tool design review.
Proficiency in English for technical documentation and communication
