Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patrols of the premises using surveillance tools such as CCTV systems to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Manage access control systems to authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established procedures, including fire safety, medical emergencies, and conflict de-escalation.
• Perform physical security measures such as manual handling and maintaining secure perimeters to deter unauthorized access.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other significant events accurately and clearly.
• Utilize law enforcement knowledge to assist in investigations or background checks when necessary.
• Operate security equipment including Taser devices, firearms (where licensed), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform CPR or first aid to assist injured individuals.
• Conduct regular patrols on foot or vehicle to ensure ongoing safety across all facility zones.
• Enforce compliance with security regulations and company policies while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Collaborate with emergency responders during incidents to coordinate effective responses and ensure safety.

Experience

• Proven experience in physical security roles or law enforcement environments with a focus on surveillance and incident management.
• Background in military service or related fields is highly desirable for understanding tactical operations and emergency procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to perform background checks and manage access control systems efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV operations, fire safety protocols, conflict management techniques, and emergency response procedures.
• Prior experience handling weapons such as firearms or Tasers in accordance with legal requirements is mandatory.
• Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict de-escalation techniques to handle sensitive situations professionally.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while maintaining alertness during long shifts.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 30.0 per week

Work Location: In person
