Professional Baker

LuAnn’s Bakery & Cafe, Ellington, CT, has an open position for a full-time experienced professional baker on our Bakery Hub team - Early morning to late morning/early afternoon hours, with specific days/times to be determined (no Sundays).

Hourly rate based upon experience.

Responsibilities:

• Mix and shape bread dough (Bakery Hub)
• Produce and decorate cakes and cupcakes (Cafe Bakery)
• Produce muffin/ scone mixes and batters (Bakery Hub)
• Bake pastries and breads to their optimal quality
• Finish baked goods for retail
• Clean and maintain work area/ utensils
• Knowledge of conventional/convection ovens
• Knowledge of standard mixing methods
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for 6+ hours
• Decorating experience a plus
• ServSafe Certification a plus, but not required (we will provide)

• 1 year professional experience and/or schooling
