Professional Development Program Manager

The Professional Development Program Manager is responsible for designing and executing high-impact programs that elevate individuals across the dairy, deli, and bakery industries. This role focuses on developing the next generation of leaders, advancing career pathways, and recognizing excellence across the industry. Blending strategy with execution, this position leads a portfolio of professional development initiatives including certifications, leadership programs, scholarships, and industry recognition platforms that strengthen workforce capability, inspire innovation, and position the organization as the premier resource for career growth in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a professional development strategy aligned with organizational goals and industry needs.
• Build scalable programs that support careers from early talent through executive leadership.
• Oversee the development, management, and growth of certification and training programs.
• Ensure certifications remain relevant, credible, and aligned with industry standards.
• Administer scholarship programs that expand access to education and industry opportunities.
• Build partnerships with academic institutions and training organizations.
• Track impact and outcomes to ensure programs are reaching and supporting diverse talent pipelines.
• Manage and elevate the Champions of Change Awards program to celebrate innovation, leadership, and impact across the industry
• Develop future awards programming, compelling nomination, judging, and recognition processes.
• Position programs as must-have career resources through compelling storytelling and targeted outreach.
• Utilize data to optimize engagement and continuously improve program performance.
• Partner with marketing team to drive awareness, participation, and utilization of programs.
• Manage and oversee assigned Board Committees.
• Prepare reports for the Board of Directors, and present at the annual business meetings.
• Participate, communicate and execute feedback from committees.
• Respond to inquiries, provide information, and address concerns related to Education programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in development, communications, marketing, human resources, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years’ experience in account management, education, or professional development.
• Experience in the dairy, deli, bakery or grocery industry preferred.
• Strong network within the food, retail, CPG, or related industries preferred.
• Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive collaborative initiatives.
