Professional Electrical Engineer

About the role

Design and review electrical systems for solar PV projects. Sign and seal electrical plans, designs, and technical documents as required by law.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical plans, SLDs, layouts, and calculations
• Ensure compliance with the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and applicable regulations
• Supervise and inspect electrical installation works at project sites
• Review and approve electrical equipment, materials, and technical specifications
• Oversee testing and commissioning of solar electrical systems
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide technical solutions
• Coordinate with project, engineering, construction, and subcontractor teams
• Conduct electrical quality inspections and ensure compliance with approved designs
• Provide technical guidance to electrical engineers, electricians, and site personnel
• Prepare and review electrical reports, test results, and as-built documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) in the Philippines with a valid PRC license.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in solar PV/EPC, renewable energy, or construction.
• Proven experience in solar PV electrical design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Proficient in preparing and reviewing electrical plans, single-line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, and electrical calculations.
• Knowledge of the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and applicable electrical safety and construction standards.
• Experience in signing and sealing electrical plans and technical documents within professional scope.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and familiar with electrical/solar design software.
• Strong knowledge of PV systems, inverters, protection, grounding, transformers, switchgear, and electrical distribution.
• Able to conduct site inspections, troubleshooting, testing, and technical evaluation.
