Professional Mobile Detailer Technician

Part-Time Mobile Auto Detailer – Opportunity for Full-Time

We are seeking a dependable, trustworthy, and detail-oriented Mobile Auto Detailer to join our team. This position will start part-time with the opportunity to work into a full-time position based on performance, reliability, quality of work, and business demand.

Our mobile detailing crews operate with a Lead Detailer and Detailing Helper. Team members must be willing to learn, work together, follow company procedures, and consistently provide customers with professional, high-quality vehicle detailing.

Compensation
This is a percentage-based position. Detailers earn a percentage based on the revenue generated by their assigned detailing van/crew. Employees are paid weekly.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Acceptable driving record and ability to complete a motor vehicle record (MVR) check
• Willingness to undergo a background check
• Dependable transportation to the designated reporting location
• Previous detailing experience preferred, but applicants who are motivated and willing to learn may be considered
• Ability to work independently and as part of a two-person detailing crew
• Dependable, trustworthy, responsible, and punctual
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions when safe and appropriate

Detailing Responsibilities

• Perform basic and full vehicle details
• Perform complete interior deep cleaning
• Thoroughly vacuum seats, carpets, floor mats, trunks, and other interior areas
• Shampoo and extract carpets and upholstered seats
• Perform stain and spot removal
• Clean and condition leather seats and surfaces
• Clean dashboards, consoles, cup holders, door panels, door jambs, air vents, gauges, and other detailed interior areas
• Clean interior and exterior windows and mirrors
• Perform exterior hand washing and thorough rinsing
• Properly clean rims, tires, and wheel wells
• Remove dirt, bugs, grime, and other exterior residue
• Properly dry vehicles without leaving water spots or unnecessary streaking
• Clean engine bays when included with the customer’s service
• Apply tire dressing and other finishing products as required
• Perform final inspections before a vehicle is returned to the customer

Equipment
Applicants should have experience with or be willing to learn the proper use of:

• Pressure washers
• Steam cleaners
• Carpet/upholstery shampoo and extraction machines
• Wet/dry vacuums
• Drill brushes and detailing brushes
• Microfiber towels and wash mitts
• Interior and exterior detailing chemicals
• Other professional detailing equipment

Vehicle & Equipment Responsibilities
Detailers are responsible for keeping the company work van clean, organized, and professional at all times. Employees will help maintain inventory of chemicals, towels, tools, and other detailing supplies and notify management when supplies need to be restocked.

Equipment must be properly cleaned, maintained, stored, and returned to its designated location after each job.

Attention to Detail Is Important
We are looking for someone who understands that professional detailing goes beyond simply washing a vehicle. You must have an eye for the small details—including air vents, cup holders, consoles, crevices, door jambs, dashboards, windows, rims, tires, wheel wells, seats, carpets, and other areas customers expect to be thoroughly cleaned.

Every vehicle should receive a final quality inspection before the job is considered complete.

Physical Requirements
This is a physically active position involving extended periods of standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, scrubbing, vacuuming, lifting equipment, and working around vehicles.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, respects customers and their property, works well with a team, and can be trusted with company vehicles, equipment, and customer vehicles.

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
