Job Description

Torres Plastering & Painting Limited is looking for a reliable and experienced Plasterer and Painter to join our team. We work on residential and commercial projects, including new builds, renovations, repairs and maintenance.

The role is based in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty. Applicants must be willing and available to travel within the Bay of Plenty region when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out interior and exterior painting.
• Prepare surfaces by sanding, filling, stopping and priming.
• Apply exterior plaster systems and achieve quality finishes.
• Repair cracks, holes and damaged wall and ceiling surfaces.
• Complete plastering, stopping and finishing work.
• Assist with cladding and recladding projects.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in good condition.
• Follow health and safety procedures and maintain quality workmanship.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in plastering and painting, or other relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent practical skills and experience.
• Good knowledge of plastering systems, surface preparation and painting techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid driver's licence.
• Willingness and availability to travel within the Bay of Plenty region when required.
• Reliable, responsible and committed to quality workmanship.

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
