Professor – Computer Science

Position Overview
Northern University Nowshera is seeking a highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated Professor in Computer Science. The selected candidate will lead academic instruction, supervise research, mentor junior faculty, and contribute to curriculum design, departmental growth, and accreditation compliance (HEC).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lectures in Computer Science and related subjects to BS/MS students
• Lead and supervise research projects, thesis supervision, and academic publications
• Design, develop, and review curriculum, lesson plans, and assessment frameworks in line with HEC standards
• Supervise, mentor, and support Lecturers and Assistant Professors within the department
• Ensure full compliance with HEC accreditation standards and quality benchmarks
• Actively participate in academic planning, departmental meetings, and institutional quality assurance
• Lead and contribute to research initiatives, grant applications, and conference presentations
• Oversee examination processes, result compilation, and academic record maintenance
• Provide academic counseling, mentoring, and pastoral support to students
• Represent the department in inter-departmental and institutional committees

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: PhD in Computer Science or relevant discipline (HEC recognized)
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant post-PhD teaching and research experience as per HEC criteria; strong publication record required

• Proven academic leadership and research supervision abilities
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong research orientation with demonstrated publication record
• In-depth familiarity with HEC accreditation standards
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic environment
• Proficiency in MS Office and academic technologies
