Primary objective
You will contribute to strengthening and sustaining the Aboriginal educator workforce through the Remote Aboriginal Teacher Education

(RATE) program - supporting Aboriginal educators to access professional learning and career pathways into teaching and specialist

education roles. As part of the School Leadership, Culture and Care team, you will play an important role in building workforce capability

and cultural responsiveness across Northern Territory schools.

Context statement
School Leadership, Culture and Care (SLCC) supports workforce attraction, development and sustainability by strengthening workforce

systems, frameworks and partnerships that enable school leaders to make informed workforce decisions. A key priority is strengthening

cultural responsiveness across the education system, recognising its role in staff wellbeing, inclusion, trust and improved outcomes for

students and communities.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective operations of the Aboriginal educator

team.

2. Provide overall administrative support to School Leadership, Culture and Care including travel and finance processes.

3. Maintain accurate RATE Program data.

4. Undertake research and data analysis to assist with a range of projects to inform continuous improvement of RATE.

5. Provide administrative support, as directed, to assist with emerging priorities and deadlines.

Selection criteria
Essential

1. Ability to work productively in a program support role.

2. Proven ability to prioritise workload and meet competing deadlines with limited supervision.

3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to identify and rectify errors.

4. Ability to provide excellent customer service to stakeholders who live and work in remote and very remote communities from a range

of cross-cultural backgrounds.

5. Current Working with Children Clearance or ability to obtain.

Desirable

1. Experience in the Vocational Education and Training or Higher Education sector.
