Oxford Community Child Care is a multi-service organization offering early learning and child care, licensed home child care, preschool, and school age programs.

Our vision is to partner with community agencies and provide the leadership necessary to offer services that promote the healthy growth, development, and learning in children and their families in Oxford County.

Hours:

This position is for before and after school at Laurie Hawkins Public School. Hours are 7:40am-9:10am and 3:30pm-5:30pm, for a total of 17.5 hours/week.

Potential for full time hours on PD days, March break and throughout the summer.

Qualifications:

• ECE diploma and registration with the College of ECE's (preferred)
• Other related education and/or experience also considered
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
• Current Food Handler Certificate
• Clean criminal reference check with vulnerable persons screening
• New graduates welcome!

Responsibilities:

Your role as the Program Assistant would be to work collaboratively within a team at our early learning program and model inclusive practice by supporting all children in a positive manner.

Skills:

• Organized with excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong parent and child engagement skills
• Able to plan and implement programming for children ages 0-12
• Document and reflect using How Does Learning Happen? as a guide
• Able to make thoughtful decisions
• Regular lifting of up to 40lbs is required

Rate:

Starting at $22.50/hour
