Program Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Program Assistant that supports the daily care, safety, and engagement of older adults and adults with disabilities. This role ensures participants receive compassionate assistance, meaningful activities, and a safe environment throughout the day.

Duties

• Provide personal care and assistance to clients — helping with daily needs and maintaining dignity.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to implement services, activities, and meet individual client needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
• Follow all center policies, safety procedures, and training requirements.
• Communicate changes in participant condition to supervisory staff.

Required Qualifications (must meet at least one)

• High school diploma
• 1 year of experience in healthcare or social-service setting (volunteer experience considered)
• Novice candidates considered (center will provide training plus mandatory orientation)

Ideal Candidates: Compassionate, dependable individuals — including students in nursing, health sciences, psychology, social work, or human services — seeking hands‑on experience with older adults.
