Program Buyer (m/f/d)

ROLE

-Manage the procurement of materials and services for assigned programs and projects.

-Request, evaluate, and compare supplier quotations; negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms.

-Select, develop, and maintain relationships with suppliers.

-Ensure on-time material availability while meeting cost, quality, and delivery objectives.

-Collaborate closely with Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.

-Analyze procurement markets and identify cost-saving and process optimization opportunities.

-Maintain purchasing data and prepare reports and performance analyses.

-Support the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities and customer programs.

-Contribute to market, customer, and competitive analyses.

-Support the preparation of quotations and cost estimates from a procurement perspective.

-Work closely with Sales, Business Development, and cross-functional teams during the early acquisition phase.

-Provide supplier, sourcing, and cost information to support customer proposals and business cases.

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES

-Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management,

Engineering, Economics, or a related field; additional qualifications are an advantage.

-Several years of professional experience in purchasing, program buying, project procurement, or strategic sourcing, preferably within

the automotive industry or an international manufacturing environment.

-Knowledge of manufacturing processes, cost structures, technical drawings, and production technologies.

-Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills.

-Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and international project teams.

-Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

-Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office applications.

-Good project management and problem-solving skills.

-Willingness to travel occasionally.

-Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
