Program Chair for Occupational Therapy

The Program Chair will oversee curriculum implementation, faculty development, student progression, clinical/fieldwork education, and compliance with institutional, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the academic operations of the Occupational Therapy program.
• Develop and continuously improve the Occupational Therapy curriculum.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate faculty members.
• Manage faculty workload, class schedules, and academic activities.
• Monitor student performance, progression, and academic requirements.
• Oversee clinical education, fieldwork, laboratory, and community-based learning.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, clinics, schools, and community organizations.
• Support accreditation, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and program assessment.
• Promote research, professional development, community engagement, and program growth.
• Work closely with the Dean and college administration on academic and operational matters.

Qualifications

• Licensed/Registered Occupational Therapist in good standing.
• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Sciences, Education, Health Sciences, or a related field.
• Teaching and professional/clinical experience in Occupational Therapy.
• Experience in academic administration, curriculum development, clinical education, or accreditation is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
