Position Overview

The Project Director will be responsible for leading key strategic projects from initial planning and implementation through final delivery, while coordinating across Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and other business functions.

This role requires extensive experience managing large-scale and complex projects, strong cross-functional leadership capabilities, and a solid understanding of the fintech and financial services landscape. The Project Director will ensure that critical initiatives are executed effectively and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall planning, execution, and delivery of major projects and strategic initiatives.
• Define project objectives, implementation roadmaps, timelines, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Coordinate across Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and business teams to drive successful cross-functional execution.
• Identify and address key project risks, resource conflicts, operational challenges, and execution barriers.
• Establish effective project management processes and governance frameworks to improve execution efficiency and scalability.
• Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, timelines, milestones, and overall performance.
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress, key risks, challenges, and business outcomes.
• Lead, manage, and develop project management teams while fostering a high-performance execution culture.
• Support strategic initiatives related to new businesses, product launches, and market expansion.
• Ensure projects comply with applicable regulatory requirements, risk management standards, and internal compliance policies.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience in project management, business operations, strategy, or a related field.
• Prior experience in a senior leadership role such as Director, Head of Projects, Program Director, or a comparable position.
• Experience in fintech, digital payments, banking, financial services, or technology is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale, complex, and cross-functional projects.
• Strong capabilities in strategic planning, project execution, team leadership, and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, resource planning, risk management, and KPI/performance management.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher required; MBA, PMP, or other relevant professional certifications preferred.

Pay: $189,625.00 - $264,289.00 per year
