Program Director - FEMA PA

For our client, we are seeking a Program Director - FEMA PA to join the team of a leader in the Media space.

This role will guide a federal public assistance and recovery portfolio, with a strong emphasis on capture strategy, partnership development, and client relationship management. The Program Director will also help shape proposal pursuits and market positioning while supporting delivery excellence across a complex set of disaster recovery engagements. Success in this role will require close coordination with federal stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners to drive growth, compliance, and operational performance.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $158,819 – $269,993 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth of the federal Public Assistance and Recovery portfolio through strategic capture planning.
• Build and maintain relationships with federal clients and key market stakeholders.
• Manage a pipeline of federal opportunities and shape collaboration strategies with partners.
• Represent the organization at federal events to enhance market presence.
• Direct proposal development and submission processes for federal contracts.
• Oversee project performance, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and compliance standards.
• Mentor program managers and teams, ensuring quality in program delivery and FEMA compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field.
• 15+ years of program management experience, including 8+ years in FEMA Public Assistance program delivery.
• 3+ years of business development experience in federal markets.
• Proven track record in developing federal business and capture wins.
• Extensive knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance Program and disaster recovery funding lifecycles.
• Availability for 24/7 client contact during activations.
• Willingness to travel extensively across assigned regions.
