About the Program

The Remote Restorative Day Program (East Arnhem) will be primarily delivered to males residing in Millingimbi, Galiwinku and on Groote Eylandt who are serving a community-based sentence of 3 months or longer for DFSV offences with alcohol involvement, or are engaging in high-risk alcohol or other drug use and are at increased risk of involvement with the justice system. The Restorative Day Program will offer a more flexible option for treatment than fully residential programs and could provide a sentencing alternative to courts which could assist with reducing high incarceration numbers while addressing root causes of crime. The program will provide opportunities for participants to connect with each other, DASA's AOD services and other key supports.
