Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Functional Project Manager with a strong manufacturing background to lead cross-functional projects and initiatives. This role is ideal for candidates with tech-forward organizations who understand how to translate manufacturing principles into modern project delivery frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements

Develop detailed project plans with realistic schedules and budgets

Establish clear milestones, deliverables, and success metrics

Stakeholder Management Coordinate across multiple departments and functional teams

Facilitate communication between technical teams, business units, and leadership

Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular status updates

Process Optimization Apply lean/six sigma principles from manufacturing background to streamline workflows

Identify bottlenecks and implement efficiency improvements

Document processes and best practices for continuous improvement

Risk & Issue Management Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies

Manage issues and escalate when necessary

Monitor project health and implement corrective actions

Team Coordination Lead project teams and ensure accountability for deliverables

Conduct regular status meetings and maintain project documentation

Support team development and knowledge sharing

Budget & Resource Management Monitor project budgets and resource allocation

Control costs without compromising quality

Prepare financial reports and variance analysis

Required Qualifications 5+ years of project management experience

3+ years in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain environment

Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative tech environments (Google, or similar preferred)

Strong proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Monday.com, Asana, or equivalent)

PMP, CAPM, or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
