Program Manager – Automotive

AEW North America | Farmington Hills, Michigan | Full-Time

AEW North America is seeking a Program Manager to lead automotive seat comfort programs from quotation and development through production launch. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of automotive program management experience, strong customer communication skills, and the ability to coordinate teams across North America and China.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage program timing, deliverables, budgets, and customer requirements.

· Serve as the primary program contact for customers and internal teams.

· Coordinate engineering, sales, quality, purchasing, and manufacturing activities to meet program milestones.

· Lead program reviews and maintain timing plans, action lists, and risk assessments.

· Track tooling, prototype builds, validation testing, and production readiness.

· Support RFQ activities, engineering changes, and APQP/PPAP deliverables.

· Identify and escalate risks, resolve issues, and drive timely completion of open actions.

· Coordinate with the China team and support customer and plant visits, including travel to Mexico as needed.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

· 3–5 years of program management experience in the automotive industry preferred.

· Working knowledge of automotive product development, APQP, PPAP, and production launch processes.

· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple programs and work effectively across functions and time zones.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project scheduling tools.

· Experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers preferred.

· Experience with seat systems, heating, ventilation, lumbar, or massage products is a plus.

· Mandarin language skills are a plus but are not required.

Work Expectations

This role is based in our Farmington Hills office and requires flexibility to collaborate with global teams across time zones. Travel within North America, including Mexico, is required based on program needs.

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
