Program Manager - Battery Technology

Overview:

The Programme Manager owns program management for the battery cell program, driving it through development, qualification, and launch in partnership with cross-functional R&D, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Definition & Planning

• Program Definition: Define and plan the battery cell program, including scope, milestones, and resource requirements.
• Program Planning: Develop and maintain the program plan across development, qualification and launch phases.

2. Program Execution & Cross-Functional Leadership

• Program Execution: Drive the program through development, qualification and launch with cross-functional teams spanning R&D, engineering, quality, manufacturing and supply chain.
• Risk Translation: Translate complex technical issues into program-level risks, priorities and actions for leadership decision-making.
• Prioritization: Prioritize engineering activities based on business priorities, risk and schedule.

3. Reporting & Stakeholder Management

• Status Reporting: Consolidate and communicate program status, risks and key issues to senior leadership on a regular cadence.
• Issue Resolution: Identify and drive solutions to program challenges, escalating and resolving blockers in a timely manner.

4. Process & Productivity Improvement

• Tools & Process: Develop tools and processes to improve engineering execution and program management productivity.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in program governance, reporting and cross-functional collaboration practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline); an MBA from a Tier-1 Institute is a strong plus

Location:

Based out of Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra (RCP).

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in program management within a technical/engineering environment
• Experience driving cross-functional programs through development, qualification and launch phases.
• Ability to translate technical complexity into program-level risk, priority and action items.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong program/project management skills, including planning, tracking and risk management.
• Excellent communication skills for consolidating and presenting program status to senior leadership.
• Strong analytical and prioritization skills, balancing business priorities, risk and schedule.
• Ability to work effectively across cross-functional technical teams (R&D, engineering, quality, manufacturing).
• Process orientation, with the ability to develop tools and frameworks to improve execution.
