About Us

Kids In Nutrition (KIN) is a nationwide, student-led movement dedicated to food justice, climate resilience, and improved health outcomes for youth and families through food literacy and access. By mobilizing trained university volunteers as near-peer mentors to deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive curricula, KIN inspires children with the foundational nutrition knowledge needed to build healthy habits and make informed, environmentally friendly food choices as they grow.

KIN makes nutrition education fun, accessible, and engaging for kids and their families. Most importantly, our grassroots model is led by youth, for youth. Our work focuses on Title I communities, where systemic barriers in education, healthcare, and food access contribute to higher rates of poor health outcomes and climate vulnerability. Through early education, KIN works to prevent chronic disease, advance health equity, and cultivate future leaders in public and planetary health. Because health begins with YOUth.

Position Overview

A Program Manager at Kids In Nutrition is not just a job, it is a lasting career in public health and youth empowerment.

KIN is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Program Manager to manage nationwide chapter operations, compliance, and reporting, reporting directly to the CEO to maintain and drive growing impact. This role is the operational backbone of our chapters and the success, bridging communications, resources, and guidance between KIN Core and nationwide student-led chapters. You will lead chapter onboarding and maintenance, manage program evaluation, feedback, and revisions, ensure strict impact and financial reporting compliance, manage specialized grant tracks, oversee mission-aligned social and website marketing, and provide direct support to KIN volunteers across the country. Because our volunteers are full-time university students, this role requires flexible working hours to align with evening or dynamic student schedules.

You need to love what you do and be personally inspired by our mission in health and environmental sustainability—living it in your own lifestyle. KIN is looking for a candidate that does not just view this as a job, but a movement that they are inspired to lead. Our team of four is small but mighty, and we are looking for a creative, HIGHLY organized, driven co-pilot to work closely with the CEO. As a key role in a fast-growing, agile organization, this position offers high visibility and direct room for long-term executive and leadership advancement as KIN expands nationwide.

This position reports to the CEO of Kids In Nutrition and is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Who We Are Seeking

You are a thoughtful communicator with a collaborative spirit. Meeting new people and empowering young leaders gives you energy and inspiration.
