Program Manager

This is a full-time position which will work a combination of shifts and is under the supervision of the Owner/Operator.

Primary responsibilit: hiring, staffing schedule, on call, appointments.

Manager is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and management/monitoring of client care. Program Manager is responsible for finding coverage for all shortages and call ins for their assigned program and work shift that are not covered due to staff shortages and call ins. Program Manager will hire, direct and supervise all caregiver staff. Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for the program/facility daily operations and care of facility.

1. Associate Degree preferred

2. At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.

3. Successful completion of training requirements; CBRF and Administrative Assistance Training

4. Must have effective oral and written communication skills.

5. History of working with persons with a developmental disability, mental illness, elderly and traumatic brain injury

6. Must be able to utilize Microsoft Office, computers and various office equipment.

7. Must be have open availability and available on call. Available to fill in as PCA.

8. Valid Drivers License and Liability Insurance

· Supervision of Residential Care Staff- in the daily management of Program/Residents

· Supervision of care staff; caregiver compliance and training

· Participate in Interviewing, hiring, coaching, discipline, evaluations and assisting with termination of Residential Care Staff.

· Schedule, coordinate and provide planned care to the clients of the facility in a clean and safe living environment as required by DHS 88.

· Develop and implement an Individualized Service Plan (ISP) for each client of the program/facility as required by DHS 88.

· Oversee all resident and staff documentation-

Coordination of all facility maintenance needs and ensure compliance for fire, safety and health requirements.

· Complete assessment/risk analysis of potential clients for consideration of placement at the program/facility.

· Coordinate activities and the arrangement/transport of clients to activities and scheduled appointments and per individual need/request.

· Provide required weekly/ monthly progress reports, critical incident reports and Individualized Service Plan (ISP) updates to the client case manager, guardian and others.

· Assists in the monitoring administration of medications according to DHS 88.

· Reports any observed or reported changes in the client’s condition and / or needs to Director and care teams

· Ensure Documentation of cares provided and complete the forms required for the client’s records. Complete the appropriate records to document cares given and pertinent observations.

· Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients by observing infection control practices, following agency guidelines and reporting unsafe situations to the supervisor/ case Manager.

· Demonstrates safe practice in the use of equipment. Does not use equipment until orientation has been provided. Notifies supervisor of educational needs.

· Communicates effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team through verbal reports, participation in staff meetings, and team conferences, as requested.

· Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job

· Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Agency Quality Improvement Program and pertinent activities.

· Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
