JOB POSTING

Program Operations Manager - Centre York Centre

For over 30 years, Centre York Centre has been supporting families facing conflict and challenges. We are a non-profit, charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our mission is to provide a safe, neutral, and supportive environment where families can spend meaningful parenting time together. With locations in Cornwall and Hawkesbury, Ontario, we serve the communities of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Counties, Prescott-Russell, and Akwesasne.

We are currently seeking a visionary and compassionate Program Operations Manager to lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and impact. The ideal candidate will bring fresh perspectives and ideas, while continuing to build on our success and strengthen relationships with community partners, including the local court system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure high-quality program delivery and service development.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including administration, budgeting, financial management, and human resources.
  • Ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of our primary funder, the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS).
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies that align with the agency’s mission and goals and meet community needs.
  • Represent the organization at community events/initiatives and maintain partnerships with stakeholders and community organizations.
  • Proven leadership experience in the non-profit or social services sector.
  • Strong understanding of family services and experience working with diverse communities.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and securing funding.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lead a committed team and work collaboratively with a Board of Directors.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader to make a meaningful impact in the lives of families and children in our region. Join us in continuing to build a stronger, more supportive community.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

As our Program Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will have completed a university degree or college diploma, ideally in Business Administration or Finance, Social Work, or related fields; combined with leadership experience in non-profit organizations/ community services. You’ll also need a broad knowledge of community resources, working knowledge of federal and provincial legislation applicable to our Agency services, the non-profit sector, and the employment of staff.

You have demonstrated your effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on mentoring and motivating employees, and you have a well-developed sense of diplomacy: you are able to negotiate, resolve conflict, and communicate effectively within our programs as well as with ministry staff, other agencies, and community-based professionals, and to interpret the Agency’s role to the public.

You can apply your strong knowledge of fiscal management/business finance, contracts, and partnerships, along with your experience in creating and managing budgets, and a sound understanding of risk management.

You are known for your high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability; and are a sound analytical thinker, skilled in planning, priority-setting, and execution, and competent in making and implementing decisions.

You communicate effectively in both English and French; write clear concise reports and give strong presentations. You can use MS Office and program management software.

You’ll also need to have a Vulnerable Sector Police Check, as well as a valid driver’s licence and your own automobile insurance.

HOURS OF WORK: Generally, 35 hours per week. Evening availability and travel are required. Possibility of weekends.

SALARY: The salary range is $58,000-72,000 per annum commensurate with experience, Paid Vacation and Mental Health Days.

TO APPLY:

Expressions of interest, with a detailed resume and a cover letter explaining why you are a strong candidate for the position, please send to Suzanne Farag, Board Chair, at [email protected].

Pay: $58,000.00-$72,000.00 per year

Benefits:
