What they need
Job Overview
We're looking for a natural leader to own and drive Friendship Circle's Kids,Teens and Transitions Programs. This is a role for someone who takes charge, sets a high bar, and pushes both themselves and their team to keep improving. You'll be given real ownership — from initial planning through execution — and the trust to run with it, while working closely with leadership to align on direction and priorities.
If you're organized, self-motivated, and energized by building programs that make a lasting difference, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Lead and Own Program Strategy
- Set clear goals for programs that align with Friendship Circle's strategic objectives
- Identify new projects, programs, and initiatives to grow the Programs Team's impact
- Plan programs end-to-end, due dates, milestones, and processes — and hold the timeline accountable
Lead People
- Hold every member of the programs team — Teen Volunteer Coordinators, program staff, Resource Team and Family Managers alike — accountable to a high standard, with kindness and compassion
- Be present and hands-on, supporting and overseeing programs in-person
- Coach, guide, and develop team members so they grow into their roles, not just fill them
Drive Execution
- Ensure the smooth, successful running of weekend and after-school programs and activities
- Oversee planning for respite programs, including Winter Camp, MLK Day Camp, Mid-Winter Camp, Snow Day Respites, Summer Camp, and Overnight Camp
- Manage programs within established budget parameters, with a sharp eye on resourcefulness
Communicate and Improve
- Report detailed, clear status updates to Leadership
- Take direction well and translate leadership's vision into action
- Continuously look for ways to sharpen and elevate program quality
- Work collaboratively within a team to advance Friendship Circle's mission
What We're Looking For
- A leader first — someone who takes initiative, motivates others, and drives results
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving pieces at once
- A self-starter who is driven, flexible, and receptive to direction and feedback from leadership
- A growth mindset — always looking to improve, learn, and raise the bar
- Creative, resourceful thinking — comfortable finding solutions outside the obvious playbook
- 3–5 years of program planning and/or management experience preferred
- Experience working with individuals with special needs is a plus, but not required
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- 401(k)
- 401(k) matching
- Dental insurance
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Retirement plan
- Vision insurance
