What they need

Overview We are seeking a Program Manager to support global trade enablement initiatives focused on building and scaling operational frameworks, governance structures, and compliance processes that support business expansion into new markets. This role combines program coordination, process development, and hands-on business enablement across multiple business lines and geographies.

The Program Manager will help establish repeatable processes, improve cross-functional coordination, document workflows, and support business teams in implementing compliant import/export operations. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing multiple workstreams, and creating structure while helping deliver operational solutions.

Why This Role Is Interesting

  • Contribute to high-visibility initiatives at the intersection of trade compliance, global operations, and business expansion.
  • Help build and standardize processes that support new market entry and ongoing compliance.
  • Work closely with a small, senior team on both program development and hands-on operational execution.
  • Improve how teams coordinate, prioritize, and implement trade compliance requirements across regions.
  • Create scalable frameworks and processes that support long-term business needs.

Core Responsibilities Program & Governance Development

  • Help develop and formalize operational frameworks, governance structures, and process standards supporting trade compliance programs.
  • Coordinate intake, prioritization, and delivery of trade enablement requests across planning cycles.
  • Document end-to-end workflows, decision frameworks, and standard operating procedures to improve consistency and scalability.
  • Establish and maintain program reviews, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and stakeholder meetings to support alignment and cross-functional coordination.
  • Develop and maintain operational metrics, tracking mechanisms, and reporting to provide visibility into program performance, compliance outcomes, and expansion readiness.
  • Identify execution gaps and opportunities to strengthen, standardize, and improve existing processes.

Business Enablement

  • Partner with business teams to understand trade requirements and implement operational frameworks aligned with established compliance strategies.
  • Support projects involving new import/export pathways, regulatory readiness for market launches, and integration of compliance requirements into business workflows.
  • Translate customs, export control, and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for trade and non-trade stakeholders.
  • Support Importer of Record (IoR) and Exporter of Record (EoR) entity setup, registrations, licensing, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for business stakeholders navigating trade execution, operational pathways, and compliance risks.
  • Support process improvement initiatives that reduce operational friction and improve the scalability and consistency of compliance execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong program coordination and operational execution skills.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into structured plans, workflows, and documented processes.
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and priorities across different geographies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex requirements to varied audiences.
  • Process-oriented mindset with an interest in standardization, documentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or strong interest in trade compliance, customs, import/export operations, or regulatory program management.
  • Proficiency with Excel and standard business tools.
  • Experience with trade, logistics, or operational systems.
