Job Overview: The Program Marketing intern is a student internship open to current MUS students. The program specialist will assist the MPQA with various marketing and communications projects to promote high-tech economic development in Montana. The MPQA is Montana’s premier photonics and quantum industry organization committed to developing our industry. This part-time internship will include graphic design layout for legacy and new MPQA marketing material, updating MPQA websites, and social media posting and management to assist with increased engagement.

Responsibilities And Duties:

• Work alongside MPQA Team to maintain client brand message consistency across multiple social media, email marketing, and content platforms.
• Assist with MPQA website updates, and content creation, including graphic design elements and layout.
• Create flyers and digital assets for training, seminars, and webinars.
• Work with the MPQA Team to translate program data into visual infographics to share with our funding partners.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current MUS student in good standing.
• Marketing and program apps that we frequently use include Canva (for “single-use” graphics), Hubspot, Zoom, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with these is helpful but not required if you’re willing to dive in.
• The ideal candidate has excellent writing skills, is creative, is curious, possesses attention to detail, and is willing to learn.
• Previous nonprofit experience is ideal
• Familiarity with STEM-related concepts is advantageous.

This position can be hybrid or remote.

Continuation of employment is contingent upon the availability of funding and satisfactory work performance.
