Company Description The KNOSK Charity Education Initiative in Kuje is a social-impact school dedicated to providing high-quality, action-based education to young people from low-income backgrounds. Guided by a vision of an Africa powered by skilled, innovative youth, the school adapts Nigeria’s national curriculum into a practical, problem-solving KNOSK curriculum that integrates technology, skills development, and strong character formation. For as low as N100 per day, students receive quality teaching, free books, uniforms, lunch, and monthly sanitary pads for girls, with additional costs covered through crowdfunding by individuals and organizations. KNOSK focuses on equipping students with livelihood skills, breaking the cycle of poverty through education, and fostering homegrown innovations in teaching, learning, and education financing. The school’s theory of change centers on empowering every student through five pillars: action learning, problem solving, technology, skills, and character.

Salary Range - 120,000 - 150,000 naira

Role Description The Program Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Abuja, responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and monitoring of academic and co-curricular programs at The KNOSK Charity Education Initiative. In this role, the Program Officer coordinates program activities, maintains schedules, and ensures alignment with the KNOSK curriculum and theory of change. The role involves working closely with teachers, students, and partners to plan and deliver action learning, skills development, and technology-driven initiatives. The Program Officer will collect and analyze program data, prepare reports, and contribute to continuous improvement of teaching, learning, and education financing models. Daily tasks include stakeholder communication, documentation, and logistical support for school projects, events, and outreach activities.

Qualifications

• Program design and implementation skills, including experience coordinating education or youth-focused initiatives.
• Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and present data to inform program decisions.
• Stakeholder engagement skills, including effective communication and relationship-building with students, families, staff, and partners.
• Organizational and project management skills, such as planning, time management, and attention to detail in a fast-paced school environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare clear reports, proposals, and documentation.
• Demonstrated passion for education equity, youth development, and poverty alleviation, especially in low-income communities.
• Proficiency with basic digital tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software) and comfort working with technology-enhanced learning programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field; relevant experience in school programs or non-profit work is an advantage.
