What they need

About the role

The Program Planner serves as the master timekeeper and analytical engine for our data center and critical infrastructure portfolio across Hong Kong and the APAC region. In this role, you will lead end-to-end planning, scheduling and progress tracking by building, maintaining and analyzing complex, multi-project Integrated Master Schedules (IMS). Working closely with engineering, procurement, and site construction teams, you will manage critical dependencies — including long-lead equipment (LLE) manufacturing timelines, civil and MEP milestones, and final commissioning—to ensure seamless execution across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end development, baseline management, and progress tracking of complex Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for hyperscale data center and critical infrastructure projects across Hong Kong and the broader APAC region.
  • Partner with Project Managers to establish project baselines, Critical Path Method (CPM) networks, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and key milestone tracking across all development phases—from early concept and design through tender, construction, and Testing and Commissioning (T&C).
  • Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams, main contractors and specialized trade consultants throughout the complete project lifecycle, spanning engineering design, procurement, Civil/MEP site construction, and final commissioning.
  • Integrate complex sub-schedules across major work packages, aligning Long-Lead Equipment (LLE) manufacturing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), site delivery, CSA (civil, structural, architectural), and MEP installation timelines.
  • Analyze schedule performance using Earned Value Management (EVM), monitor float erosion, model "what-if" risk scenarios and implement mitigation/recovery plans to safeguard target Ready for Service (RFS) dates.
  • Coordinate directly with vendors, contractors and project managers to validate periodic progress reports, perform schedule variance analyses, and facilitate time-impact evaluations for client reviews.
  • Prepare comprehensive progress reports and present routine schedule updates to executive management and key project stakeholders.
  • Review, track and integrate specialized Testing and Commissioning (T&C) schedules—from Level 1 through Level 5 timelines and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) sequences—to ensure seamless critical infrastructure handover.
  • Attend site progress audits, attend project coordination meetings and lead risk reviews to verify field execution alignment and maintain precision schedule.
  • Support regional expansion by participating in overseas project reviews, site inspections, and stakeholder planning sessions across the APAC region as required.

About you

  • Degree holder in Building Surveying, Construction/Engineering Management or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on project planning and scheduling experience within data center or critical facilities environments.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, with strong skills in baseline management, critical path analysis, and EVM reporting.
  • Proven understanding of Hong Kong statutory submission procedures, authority approval timelines and local regulatory milestones.
  • Strong analytical, logical thinking and data-driven problem-solving abilities, with a self-motivated drive to proactively mitigate schedule risks.
  • Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively across cross-functional engineering, construction, and consultant teams.
  • Willingness to travel as required by project within the region.
  • Proficiency in advanced reporting and data visual tools (e.g., PowerPoint) for schedule presentation (desirable).
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is highly advantageous (desirable).
