In the defense industry, this work is performed under a variety of titles, including Integrated Program Planner, Master Scheduler, Planner/Scheduler, and IMS Scheduler. Experience from any of these roles directly translates. As part of the government program office team, you will help build and maintain the program's master schedule. You will also review schedules delivered by industry partners, so program leadership can track milestones, identify risks early, and make informed decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support master scheduling for the program office, developing and maintaining the government program master schedule in Microsoft Project, aligned to the program Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Schedule Management Plan

  • Collect weekly and monthly status from government leads and contractors, update forecasts, and process baseline changes through change control
  • Perform critical path (CPM) scheduling analysis, float and network logic checks, and schedule integrity checks
  • Identify schedule risks and variances, and recommend corrective actions and what-if options
  • Prepare milestone charts and schedule summaries, and brief schedule status to the Government Program Manager and program leadership

Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of professional experience in integrated master scheduling for the Department of War (DoW) or federal programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, including network logic, baselines, and status updates
  • Working knowledge of CPM scheduling (critical path method)
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to brief schedule status clearly to government leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience reviewing or integrating schedules from multiple contractors, including contractor IMS CDRL submissions
  • Experience with schedule risk analysis (SRA), DCMA 14-point assessments, or Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience supporting a government program office

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Compensation: $90,000 – $105,000 yearly depending on experience

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance (95% company-paid)
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Paid time off and federal holidays
  • Life insurance and disability coverage
