Why This Opportunity
Lead security strategy at the intersection of advanced technology, national security, and mission innovation.
As a PSR, you will be embedded with our Customer’s Technical Offices and Program Manager teams, serving as a trusted senior advisor responsible for protecting highly advanced technology programs across multiple classification and security environments.
This is not a routine program security role. You will apply deep subject matter expertise and sound judgment to develop security architectures, assess emerging threats, balance protection requirements with program objectives, and provide recommendations to senior government, technical, and industry stakeholders.
The role also provides an opportunity to influence program security beyond individual assignments by mentoring other PSRs and Security Assistants and supporting complex initiatives and special projects.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a program security advisor supporting multiple complex customer technology programs.
- Develop and implement security architectures across CUI, Collateral, SAP, SCI, and other classified environments.
- Analyze program objectives, critical technologies, threats, and applicable security policies to develop comprehensive protection strategies.
- Research and recommend short- and long-term program protection strategies for new, evolving, and transitioning programs.
- Balance security requirements with mission objectives, cost, schedule, acquisition, and technology transition considerations.
- Provide security expertise throughout the BAA process, including security requirements, Industry Day briefings, PARs, and facility/IT accreditation activities.
- Develop and maintain DD 254s, Program Security Documents, Program Protection Plans, and S&T Protection Plans.
- Apply subject matter expertise in EO 13526, NISPOM, DoD security policies, SAP security requirements, CUI, and DFARS requirements.
- Evaluate risks associated with foreign influence, foreign government talent programs, and conflicts of interest or commitment affecting customer research.
- Perform OPSEC analysis, identify critical program information, and develop appropriate protection strategies.
- Review materials for public release and advise on the presence and handling of CUI or classified information.
- Support international disclosure, information-sharing, and technology transition activities.
- Develop and deliver security briefings to customer leadership, technical teams, industry partners, and other stakeholders.
- Support SAPF, SCIF, AIS, and other security accreditation activities.
- Participate in program reviews, staff assistance visits, inspections, security meetings, and special projects.
- Support the mitigation and resolution of security incidents and program closeout activities.
- Communicate effectively across our customer’s offices and with government, industry, technical, and security leadership.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Security Assistants.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of related DoD or IC program security experience, or an associate degree with 8-10 years of related experience.
- Extensive experience supporting DoD and/or Intelligence Community program security environments.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage the security requirements of multiple complex programs.
- Strong expertise developing security architectures and program protection strategies for advanced technology programs.
- Broad knowledge of fundamental research, CUI, Collateral, SAP, SCI, and other sensitive information environments.
- Expertise in S&T protection planning, classification architectures, OPSEC, COMSEC, and sensitive test planning.
- Strong understanding of foreign influence risks and associated security considerations within U.S. research and technology environments.
- Expert knowledge of NISPOM, Executive Order 13526, DoD security policies, and SAP security requirements.
- Experience developing and maintaining DD 254s, Security Classification Guides, Program Protection Plans, Program Security Documents, and S&T Protection Plans.
- Strong analytical, risk-management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical security solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to advise PSOs, PMs, SETAs, Technical Office leadership, and industry/government partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on special projects and high-priority assignments.
- Ability to prioritize competing workload demands across multiple programs.
