Lung Cancer Screening Pilot Programme

The Lung Cancer Screening Pilot Programme is a new 6-year funded collaborative project with the University of Hong Kong, with the objective to enhance earlier lung cancer detection and diagnoses and generate evidence-based recommendations for lung cancer screening in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

-          Assist in community engagement activities and health talk for recruitment and to promote awareness of the screening programme.

-          Conduct screening, enrolment, and consent processes after receiving training from the team coordinator and ensure all paper-based /electronic study record are completed.

-          Provide clear information about the study, procedures, and potential risks/benefits.

-          Coordinate follow-up appointments and subsequent assessments.

-          Proactively track and follow up with participants who miss scheduled appointments, using reminders and personalized outreach to minimize default rates.

-          Provide administrative support to the project

-          Assist in preparation of program assessment tool, materials and document

-          Handling phone enquiries and follow up as required

-          Outreach work required

-          Undertake any duties as assigned by UCN

Requirements

-          Holder of HKCEE/HKDSE certificate or equivalent

-          Experience in programme work preferred

-          Fluent in Chinese, good command in reading and writing Chinese and English

-          Proficiency in PC knowledge, including MS Office, Chinese and English Word Processing

-          Proactive, responsible and with good communication skills and interpersonal skills

-          Highly flexible and can work independently under pressure

-          Weekend and after office hour work may be required
