What they need

TAKMIL (Teach A Kid Make Individual Life) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality education to out-of-school children in rural areas. Operating across 150+ non-formal centers, TAKMIL bridges local educational operations with global management teams to drive sustainable social impact.

Role purpose

Own the planning, delivery and improvement of TAKMIL Young Leaders across participating schools. Ensure that identification and selection are organised, evidence-based, inclusive and followed by meaningful leadership-development opportunities.

Key responsibilitiesProgramme planning and coordination

  • Develop the annual implementation plan, selection calendar, budget and staffing requirements.
  • Coordinate school participation, student eligibility, assessment locations and travel arrangements.
  • Establish realistic timelines for nominations, consent, assessment, trial participation, selection and feedback.
  • Maintain a programme risk register and resolve operational barriers affecting participation.
  • Ensure schools receive clear guidance on the programme’s purpose and selection criteria.

Team recruitment and readiness

  • Recruit and schedule observers, facilitators and Safeguarding Leads.
  • Coordinate psychologist-led training and maintain records of training completion and calibration results.
  • Assign observers to avoid conflicts of interest and ensure appropriate staffing for girls’ groups.
  • Confirm that each assessment location has the necessary materials, accessibility arrangements and safeguarding coverage.

Assessment and trial delivery

  • Oversee implementation of the approved assessment toolkit.
  • Confirm parent or guardian consent and student agreement before participation.
  • Ensure assessment arrangements accommodate students’ language, disability and access needs.
  • Run the trial leadership programme and coordinate ratings every four weeks.
  • Monitor attendance, participation and delivery quality; investigate unexplained differences between locations.

Selection and fairness

  • Convene selection-panel meetings with documented criteria and decision-making procedures.
  • Lead the fairness review with the psychologist and Data & Scoring Officer.
  • Ensure decisions account for evidence quality, observer disagreement and differences in opportunity.
  • Sign off final selections within TAKMIL’s delegated authority after panel review.
  • Manage requests for review and arrange further observation where evidence is insufficient.
  • Ensure students and families receive respectful communication and constructive feedback.

Reporting and improvement

  • Report participation, selections, costs, challenges and lessons learned to the Executive Director each cycle.
  • Track implementation of agreed improvements.
  • Coordinate follow-up on selected students’ development and retention.
  • Maintain version control of the toolkit and ensure teams use the approved materials.
