The Opportunity

Albany Beck is a UK-based management consultancy working with leading Financial Services organisations to deliver complex business and technology change.

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to support the delivery of key initiatives within a leading Bank. This is an opportunity for an established delivery professional with a strong background in banking or financial services, capable of managing complex programmes, engaging senior stakeholders and driving successful outcomes.

You will bring a structured approach to programme delivery, with the flexibility to operate across different delivery methodologies and work collaboratively with business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate programme delivery, ensuring activities are aligned to strategic objectives, agreed milestones and business outcomes.
• Develop and maintain programme plans, delivery roadmaps, governance frameworks and reporting.
• Manage programme risks, issues, dependencies and resources, ensuring potential challenges are identified and addressed proactively.
• Engage with senior stakeholders across business and technology functions, providing clear updates on progress, delivery risks and key decisions.
• Oversee delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring effective coordination and accountability.
• Apply appropriate Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies to support successful programme execution.
• Facilitate programme governance forums and provide clear, accurate reporting to senior leadership.
• Drive collaboration across teams to maintain delivery momentum and achieve agreed objectives.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years' experience delivering programmes or complex change initiatives within Financial Services , ideally within banking or a similar regulated environment.
• Demonstrable experience managing delivery across multiple teams, workstreams or business functions.
• Strong understanding of programme governance, planning, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience working with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Relevant delivery qualifications or certifications, such as SAFe RTE, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), APMP or equivalent, would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive, adaptable approach, with the ability to navigate complex environments and drive delivery forward.
