Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Programme Manager will develop, maintain, and optimise integrated construction programmes that align project objectives, milestones, resource requirements, and delivery strategies. The position is critical in ensuring accurate planning, effective progress monitoring, proactive risk management, and clear communication of programme performance throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a highly influential role requiring strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive timely information exchange and accountability across multiple project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to establish and align programme requirements.
  • Monitor project progress against baseline programmes and identify schedule risks, delays, and opportunities for recovery.
  • Capture and analyse site progress data, providing accurate and timely programme updates.
  • Develop and maintain resource-loaded programmes and support resource planning activities across multiple projects.
  • Lead programme risk analysis and implement mitigation and recovery strategies where necessary.
  • Produce high-quality programme reports, dashboards, and schedule performance metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular programme review meetings and drive stakeholders to provide accurate information and progress updates.
  • Support project teams in forecasting key milestones, resource requirements, and project completion dates.
  • Ensure programme controls and scheduling practices are consistently applied.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives relating to planning, scheduling, reporting, and programme governance.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in programme management, construction planning, and project controls within major construction or Data Centre projects.
  • Advanced to expert proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path analysis, resource planning, and programme risk management.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage complex, multi-disciplinary construction programmes.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Ability to influence, challenge, and drive accountability across project teams and external partners.
  • Experience producing executive-level programme reports and performance updates.
  • High level of attention to detail with strong organisational and planning capabilities.

Personal Attributes

  • Proactive and results-driven.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented.
  • Effective communicator at all organisational levels.
  • Strong leadership and influencing capabilities.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Certifications & Licenses:

Project Management Institute (PMI) certification desirable; industry-specific certifications and/or licenses required, demonstrated MS Projects and Primavera P6 experience and qualifications.
