PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially minded Project Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in keeping our construction projects financially accurate, compliant and on track—from managing day-to-day accounting operations to providing the insights that support better project decisions.

Working closely with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders, you will help translate project activity into clear financial information, identify risks and opportunities, and contribute to the successful delivery of our projects.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and administrative operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
• Prepare, review and analyze monthly project financial reports, highlighting key trends, risks and variances.
• Support project budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to help teams manage costs and performance.
• Partner with project managers, engineers and internal stakeholders to improve financial visibility and decision-making.
• Ensure accounting activities comply with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and company policies.
• Support e-invoicing compliance and implementation initiatives.
• Contribute to process improvements that strengthen reporting accuracy, efficiency and financial controls.

What We’re Looking For

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA are highly regarded.
• At least five years of relevant experience in construction accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and financial reporting.
• Experience with project financial management, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance, project and engineering teams.
• The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
