Project Accountant

About the role

Trevi Foundations Philippines Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our team supporting the delivery of major geotechnical and construction works. The successful candidate will track and manage, record, monitor and analyze the site financial activities, cost, billings and performance of the project site. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with project stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor project expenses, code field invoices, and update cost reports to compare actual spending against estimated budget.
• Review subcontractors pay applications, track retainage, verify conditional or unconditional lien waivers, and coordinate prompt payments.
• Assist the Project Manager with gathering data for client progress billings, monitor accounts receivable aging, and follow up delayed payments.
• Review onsite timecards, equipment logs, and petty cash reports to ensure accurate labor hour and resource allocation of the project.
• Prepare monthly cost-to-complete analyses, work-In-Progress inputs, and variance reports for Project Managers and other user.
• Maintain organized paper and digital audit trails onsite, ensuring compliance with local tax rules, insurance certificates, and company internal control.

About you

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of general or project accounting experience, ideally within the construction, mining or engineering industry.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP accounting software.
• Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate smoothly with onsite project managers, field superintendents, subcontractors, and corporate finance teams.
• Experience working on large-scale construction or mining projects.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently when required.
