Project Accountant

Point of contact for contract and financial coordination with the project managers, owners, subcontractors and vendors.

General responsibilities:

• Review new contract jobs and acquire proper paperwork to complete the set-up process in the accounting software.

• Process change orders associated with contract jobs as needed.

• Prepare monthly AIA billings.

• Process lien waivers.

• Review account and project related records such as contracts, lien waivers, and other misc. documents as needed.

• Process and enter purchase orders and subcontracts given by the project managers.

• Prepare time and material billings as needed.

• Enter stock and tool rental invoices from warehouse.

• Process bond requests as needed.

• Research and respond to all project related questions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance preferred by not required

• Construction or project related accounting beneficial

• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrate effective time management skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office

• Knowledge of Sage Contractor software preferred

• Must be a self-starter and highly motivated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
