Project Accounting Manager

Precision matters when you're tracking the financial pulse of active projects. We're looking for a Project Accounting Manager who can bring order, accuracy, and insight to how we account for project costs, revenue, and performance across the business.

The Role at a Glance

You'll own the project accounting function end-to-end. From cost tracking and revenue recognition to reporting that gives leadership a real-time view of project financial health.

Day-to-Day

• Manage project accounting activities, including cost tracking, billing, and revenue recognition
• Oversee work-in-progress (WIP) reporting and percentage-of-completion calculations
• Reconcile project-level financials and investigate cost or margin variances
• Partner with project managers and operations leaders to monitor budgets and forecast project performance
• Support month-end and year-end close as it relates to project accounting
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls around project cost tracking and revenue recognition
• Manage and develop project accounting staff
• Identify and implement improvements to systems, templates, and reporting processes
• Support internal and external audit requests tied to project accounting

What Sets You Apart

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with meaningful exposure to project or job costing accounting
• Solid grasp of WIP schedules, revenue recognition, and percentage-of-completion methodology
• Comfortable managing or mentoring accounting staff
• Strong Excel skills and experience with project accounting or ERP systems
• Sharp analytical instincts and comfort partnering directly with operations leaders
