What they need
*Own customer, business, and AI projects, and help grow the company from front to back.*
About us
Docking Drawer is a manufacturer that runs its own marketing and ecommerce agency in-house. We design and make our products, and we also handle the marketing, ecommerce, sales, and customer experience ourselves. Few companies work this way, and you get to see the whole business up close.
We are a remote team spread around the world, working across many time zones. We are based in the heart of Silicon Valley, and we use AI in almost everything we do. People stay at Docking Drawer for a long time, and we build the team with that in mind.
We don't really use titles here, so "Project Advisor" is the closest label for this role. What it means: someone who wants to see the whole business, be involved in all of it, and help it grow.
Our motto: have fun and get it done.
The role
At Docking Drawer, everything is a project. Taking care of a customer is a project. A product launch is a project. Even AI is a project in itself. You will own a mix of all three, from kickoff to finish, and you will make the decisions along the way. Everything we build, and every tool we use, comes back to one thing: a great experience for our customers.
You are the person who says hello first. You love talking with people, and you lead the conversation instead of being pushed around by it. You are the nose of the dog, not the tail. You don't wait for direction. You see what needs to happen, say you're going to do it, and bring people with you. Think of it as running your own company inside a company. You make decisions, you drive results, and you answer for the outcome.
Your projects
Customer projects
Customers are at the center of everything we do. Every customer has a project, and you help them get it right. You will talk with them by phone, email, and chat, and you will understand the customer experience at every level.
For example, our AI might flag an order that could put a customer's project off track. You pick up the phone, call them first, and help get it moving again. Helping people before they ask builds relationships that last for years. You will learn our product line deeply so you can advise with confidence.
Business projects
The business has a lot of moving parts, and you will get a piece of all of them. That could be a new product launch, a marketing campaign, an ecommerce improvement, a new process, or something we haven't thought of yet. Each one exists to make life better for our customers. You will plan the stages, keep work moving across a remote team, make decisions, and communicate early and often. You will spot problems before they become problems and bring a fix with them. You won't manage people. You will lead through clear communication and follow-through.
If you bring technical skills, we will put them to use, even if they are basic or just beginning. You might work in our ecommerce tech stack or help us build AI agents. We will help you grow your skill set, and you will learn from a great team.
AI projects
We use AI to empower our team, not to replace it, and we treat it as a project too. All of it is there to serve our customers, so you will help decide where AI can make their experience better, and you will use it every day. You do not need to be an AI expert or an engineer. You need to want to become a power user. We give you best-in-class tools, insights, support, and access, and you learn by using them on real work. If you can build things with AI, great. We'll ask you to help build our AI agents. If not, you are the eyes. You can say "I want it to do this for me," and our AI team will help you to build it.
Who you are
You don't wait to be told what to do. You bring ideas, say "I'm going to do this," and do it. In a group of friends, you're the one who says "let's go here," and everyone comes along.
You start conversations easily, and you lead them with confidence and warmth.
You would rather talk to someone than send another email.
You have been the person people ask for, whether in sales, hospitality, consulting, or a client-facing role.
You have 5 or more years of professional experience after university, and you are ready for more ownership.
You are comfortable working in English or Spanish. Our team uses both every day.
You are organized, proactive, and good at seeing what could go wrong early.
You want to see the whole business, front to back, and help it grow.
You are curious about AI, you are not afraid of it, and you want to become a power user.
You are a self-learner. We are small and fast, and learning happens on the job, with no formal courses.
You work well on a team. We do not micromanage, and we support each other closely. We talk to each other often across time zones. If you do your best work heads down and alone, this is not the right fit.
You are looking for a long-term home, not a stop on the way to something else.
Nice to have
Experience in hospitality or travel, design or architecture studios, showroom or real estate sales, tech customer success, or events.
Experience in ecommerce, sales, or project coordination.
Technical skills at any level, such as ecommerce platforms, automation, or building with AI. Bring what you have. We will use it and help you grow it.
Why Docking Drawer

A close, supportive team where people build careers and stay for years.

A tip before you apply
We'll talk a lot about how you use AI in your own life, not just at work. Come ready to share:
What you use it for, and what you like about it
What you are trying right now
What you have learned recently, and what you want to learn next
How you learn about AI, and how you learned what you know today
Where you want your AI skills to be in a few years
We'll also ask about something you love, like your favorite food or movie. Pick something you could talk about for an hour. You'll know it's the right one when you start talking faster.
There are no wrong answers. We want to meet someone who is curious, motivated to learn, and passionate about something.
To apply
Send your resume and a few sentences on a time you made a customer, client, friend or stranger feel genuinely helped, ideally before they asked. Add a project you started on your own, without anyone asking. Then tell us one way you use AI in your own life, and one thing you are passionate about.
Other offers great for you!
