Project Aide/Helper

The Project Aide/Helper provides general field and technical assistance in the installation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of water system facilities. The position assists technical personnel and project workers in pipeline installation, water meter works, excavation, site preparation, hauling of materials, and other project-related activities while observing company safety procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist plumbers, technicians, engineers, and project personnel in the installation, repair, and maintenance of water pipelines and facilities.
• Assist in the laying, connection, repair, and replacement of HDPE, PVC, GI, and other water pipes and fittings.
• Assist in excavation, backfilling, site preparation, and restoration of work areas.
• Assist in the installation, replacement, removal, and maintenance of water meters and service connections.
• Carry, load, unload, and properly store pipes, fittings, tools, equipment, and other project materials.
• Assist in locating and addressing water leaks, damaged pipelines, illegal connections, and other water system concerns.
• Assist in pressure testing, flushing, disinfection, and other water system activities as instructed by the technical personnel.
• Assist in the construction, repair, and maintenance of water tanks, pump facilities, valve chambers, and other water system structures.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the project site, tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Ensure that tools and equipment are properly handled, stored, and accounted for after use.
• Assist in transporting materials, equipment, and personnel to various project locations when required.
• Report immediately any damaged equipment, leaking pipes, unsafe conditions, accidents, or other project concerns to the immediate supervisor.
• Follow proper occupational safety procedures, including the use of required PPE.
• Assist in securing the work area and placing appropriate warning signs, barriers, or safety devices during field activities.
• Assist in documenting completed work through photographs, checklists, or other project records when required.
• Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.

Qualifications

• At least High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Experience in plumbing, construction, waterworks, pipeline installation, or utility work is an advantage.
• Physically fit and capable of performing field and manual work.
• Willing to work outdoors and in different project locations.
• Willing to perform excavation, hauling, lifting, and other physical tasks.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction materials is an advantage.
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively with a team.
• Responsible, hardworking, punctual, and safety-conscious.

Pay: Php755.00 - Php780.00 per day
