Job Description:

Exco Extrusion Dies Inc. was established in 1997 following the foundation of Exco Technologies Limited in 1952. The Exco Extrusion Group has grown to include facilities in Canada, Texas, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Germany and Italy. The Exco Extrusion Group of manufacturing facilities are part of the largest producers of extrusion tooling globally. Our mission is to provide aluminum extrusion dies which will produce and assure long operating life. Our production capabilities exceed 4,500 dies a month, supporting extruders serving construction, automotive, and consumer goods markets.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in the metal machining industry, with a primary focus on:

• Continuous improvement projects
• Machine shop process and method improvement

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage and support manufacturing improvement projects from planning through implementation
• Develop and maintain machine shop documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation
• Prepare and maintain CAM-related documentation with support from the CAM team
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the machine shop
• Support machine shop automation initiatives to improve productivity, quality, consistency, and efficiency
• Work collaboratively with Manufacturing, CAM, Engineering, and other departments to improve shop processes and resolve operational issues

Skills and Qualities

Strong fundamentals in mathematics, physics, and mechanical engineering are essential.

Being proactive and having a creative mindset can take you to the next level.

You also need to be detail-oriented, decisive, collaborative, and willing to mentor and support others.

Education

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Compensation

• Competitive starting salary: $60,000–$90,000
