Project Architect

A well-established, growing design-build firm in the Syracuse area is looking for an experienced Project Architect to join their design team.

The organization has a strong reputation across Central New York for architecture and construction work spanning industrial, manufacturing, commercial, and institutional projects. This is a real opportunity to step into a firm with an established client base and a steady pipeline of complex, technically demanding work, including long-standing relationships with major pre-engineered metal building manufacturers.

What you'll do:

• Lead projects through all phases of delivery, from design and documentation through consultant coordination and construction administration
• Provide strong technical project leadership while staying hands-on and actively engaged in day-to-day project work
• Apply rigorous QA/QC standards and sound technical judgment across design decisions and documentation
• Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams, external consultants, and construction partners
• Work directly with clients, contractors, and internal teams throughout the life of a project

What we're looking for:

• Licensed Architect in New York State required
• 10+ years of progressively responsible architectural design and project delivery experience
• A strong technical background, with real comfort in building codes, construction documents, and specifications
• Industrial and/or manufacturing project experience strongly preferred
• Pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) knowledge or experience is a meaningful plus
• Strong Revit proficiency
• Someone who thrives working collaboratively across teams, not in a silo
