Project Architect

PROJECT ARCHITECT Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, coordinate, and oversee architectural works throughout the project lifecycle, from design development to construction and project completion.
• Prepare, develop, and review architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and other design documents in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure that architectural designs are functional, aesthetically appropriate, constructible, and compliant with approved project plans and specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments regarding architectural requirements, design changes, and project concerns.
• Review and evaluate architectural plans, shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, and other submittals to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor architectural works and ensure that construction activities conform to approved drawings, design standards, and quality requirements.
• Monitor the installation and quality of architectural finishes, fixtures, doors, windows, ceilings, flooring, walls, and other architectural components.
• Identify discrepancies between approved drawings and actual site conditions and recommend appropriate design or construction solutions.
• Coordinate architectural details with structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other engineering requirements to minimize design conflicts during construction.
• Prepare and maintain drawing revisions, material specifications, design clarifications, site instructions, and other architectural documentation.
• Participate in design coordination meetings, site meetings, client meetings, and project discussions and provide recommendations on architectural matters.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, architectural work schedules, material requirements, and design deliverables to support timely project completion.
• Ensure compliance with the National Building Code of the Philippines, applicable architectural standards, government regulations, company policies, and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Assist in preparing punch lists, as-built drawings, architectural turnover documents, and other project close-out requirements.
• Perform other related architectural and project duties as may be assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
• License: Licensed Architect (R.A.) is advantageous.
• Experience: At least 1–3 years of experience in architectural design, construction, or project architecture.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other architectural software is an advantage.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with architectural design, construction methods, building codes, and applicable Philippine regulations.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, coordination, and team management skills.
• Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to Detail: Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Site Management: Willing to conduct regular site visits and monitor architectural works.
